Energy Management
Energy saving and carbon reduction have always been the focus of PAHSCO's manufacturing process. PAHSCO actively introduced energy saving and efficiency manufacturing management system, it is expects to improve the energy efficiency of the production line through the improvement of the production process, so as to reduce the energy consumption and waste generation during production. At the same time, we are searching for green, low-energy raw materials that meet the safety requirements of medical devices and gradually replacing the use of traditional raw materials.
Also, PAHSCO plans to complete the construction of solar power generation facilities by 2030, or evaluate the purchase of renewable energy certificates to reduce the environmental impact of electricity use and promote environmental sustainability.
The energy consumption of PAHSCO includes purchased electricity, natural gas, diesel, and gasoline. In 2023, the total energy usage, converted to thermal units, was 40,318.4GJ (gigajoules), with an intensity of 0.017377GJ per NT$ thousand.

Note 1: The electricity conversion factor is 0.0036GJ for 1 kWh.
Note 2: The conversion factor of the calorific value of each energy are based on the Heat Content of Energy Products from Energy Statistical annual Reports of the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs. 1 m3 of natural gas = 8,000 kcal, 1 liter of diesel = 8,400 kcal, and 1 liter of gasoline = 7,800 kcal.
Note 3: 1 kcal=4.19KJ=0.00000419GJ
Note 4: The source of the energy statistics is the usage data from all of PAHSCO's operational sites
Note 5: The source of the purchased electricity consumption is the payment invoice from Taiwan Power Company. The source of natural gas consumption is the natural gas payment invoice. The source of diesel and gasoline consumption is the procurement invoice
