Industry-Academy Cooperation MOU signed by PAHSCO and CGUST
PAHSCO and the Department of Nursing of Chang Gung University of Science and Technology (CGUST) signed a memorandum of industry-academy cooperation on September 14, 2022 to promote the collaborative teaching practice of industry-academia experts. The training program promotes cross-domain cooperation, develops the application of technology research and development, and develops a model of the industry-academy cooperation.
The Department of Nursing of CGUST has a total of 1,633 graduates in 2020. It is the school with the largest number of nursing graduates in Taiwan. It has the first "Clinical Skills Center" built in a nursing school in the country. Over the years, it has deepened the characteristics of technical and vocational education. Cultivate high-quality high-level health care talents. As a leading company in Taiwan medical device industry for 45 years, PAHSCO hopes to gradually improve its diversified clinical teaching practice experience and complete learning fields with its rich R&D technical resources, combined with the nursing and health care teaching energy of CGUST.
Since the global pandemic of Covid-19, clinical clinics in various countries have paid more attention to the application of infection control products. Beginning at end of 2019, PAHSCO and CGUST launched a series of cooperation plans for the application development and teaching innovation of medical devices, including introducing "Closed Suction System Sets" in the nursing course curriculum with a variety of product implementation demonstration in its textbook, providing training course on "Nursing of Swallowing Disorders", and donating a significant amount medical gas equipment, and closed suction system sets in July, 2022 to upgrade the school teaching equipment so that what the student learn and practice at school would be similar to the what’s in the hospital in reality.
Both PAHSCO and CGUST hope that the combination of many years of industrial experience of PAHSCO and the profound disciplinary foundation of CGUST will enable talent cultivation to achieve the benefits of one plus one greater than two.
