Nasopharyngeal Airway
The nasopharyngeal airway has two parts: the flange and cannula. The flange is the wide end that prevents further slippage into the airway. The hollow shaft of the cannula permits airflow into the hypopharynx. The distal end of the cannula is bevel to aid in following the airway and minimizing mucosal trauma as it is advanced through the nasopharynx. I.D. of the tubing ranges from 4.0 to 8.5mm. Inside the tubing is serrated treated. The product is single use and sterile.
